About
the
counselor
Jim Wunderle was born in Virginia but has spent time in Texas and Arkansas as well. Four years of military school and a Godly single mother provided the foundation as he entered adulthood. Today Jim has been married to Jill for 30 years, and has five children and one grandchild. His education includes a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, two Master’s degrees in Education and Marriage and Family Counseling, and he will soon complete his PhD in Family
Therapy. He has worked in a counseling capacity in a detention home, group home, counseling agency, in three different churches, and in private practice. Jim also taught psychology and counseling courses for 13 years at five different colleges in Texas and Arkansas. He is a member of the Arkansas Mental Health Association, the American Association of Christian Counselors, and serves on the Juvenile Justice Advisory Board in Washington County. He does weekly volunteer group counseling at Compassion House, and regularly performs workshops on healthy living and parenting through Vista Health and at various churches in the Northwest Arkansas area. Jim has been a Licensed Professional Counselor since 1996 and in his spare time he enjoys football, drums and percussion, and restoring his 1948 Chevrolet pickup truck.
